Piccola Italia Preschool (PIP) opens for its first year of business on September 1, 2012, bringing Italian language immersion to youngsters in the Nonantum neighborhood of Newton, Mass.
PIP is currently enrolling children aged 2.9 to 5 years for the 2012/2013 school year with two-, three- and five-day scheduling options.
“I wholly believe that we should start learning our second and third languages early in life,” says Rebecca Paxton Cianfrone, owner and lead teacher of PIP. “Learning Italian at PIP, in addition to making their brains stronger, will make your children more multiculturally aware and curious.”
Rebecca Paxton Cianfrone has been teaching Italian since 2004 to various ages (adults, high-schoolers, and children). She holds a B.A. in Italian from Skidmore College and a M.A.T. Italian from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
